USPS Postage Rates Set to Increase in July 2023

The Postal Regulatory Commission (PRC) has approved the USPS increases to postage rates.  The rates will go into effect starting on July 9, 2023. Pricing increases mainly Market Dominant products. (Market Dominant products includes First Class Mail, Marketing Mail, Periodicals Mail, and Packing Services Mail). First Class postage rates would be raised by approximately 5 percent.

Letters (1 oz.) 63 cents 66 cents
Letters (metered 1 oz.) 57 cents 60 cents
Domestic Postcards 48 cents 51 cents
International Letter (1 oz.) and Postcards $1.40 cents $1.50 cents

 

For our customers, most postage rates will fall under Marketing Mail, which includes Marketing Mail Nonprofit. Customers will notice an approximate increase of 5.2 percent increase in these rates.

Please note: The last postage rate increased occurred in January 2023. Future postage rate increases may happen twice a year with assumptions that another increase will occur in January of 2024. As you are preparing or reviewing your annual postage budgets, be aware that another increase may take place during your budget cycle.
