USPS Announces No Postage Rate Increase in January 2025

The U.S. Postal Service (USPS) announced that there will be no price increase for postage at the beginning of 2025. This means the current price of stamps will remain the same for the near future.

  • Recent Price Increases: This is a welcome change after a period of rising costs. Since July 2022, the price of a first-class stamp had increased twice a year (in July and January) by a total of 13 cents.
  • Benefits for Customers: This decision by the USPS is intended to provide customers with more financial stability when planning their mailings. This includes:
    • Marketing Mail: Businesses can plan their marketing campaigns with confidence knowing the postage costs will stay the same.
    • Non-Profits: Non-profit organizations will also benefit from this price stability for their standard rate mailings.
